Wipro secures major IT services deal with Dutch dairy leader FrieslandCampina
The shares of Wipro Limited were trading at ₹304.35 up by ₹2.40 or 0.79 per cent on the NSE today at 12.40 pm.
Wipro Limited, the Indian technology services company, has secured a strategic partnership with FrieslandCampina to manage the dairy company’s core IT operations. The five-and-a-half-year contract, announced on January 27, 2025, will see Wipro delivering comprehensive IT services to the Dutch dairy manufacturer.
Under the agreement, Wipro will provide end-to-end service management, infrastructure and cybersecurity services, and enterprise application management. The contract also covers digital transformation initiatives, along with HR and employee services focused on operational excellence and user experience.
FrieslandCampina’s Global Director of Enterprise Technology Services, Holger Janßen, emphasized that the partnership with Wipro is crucial for achieving their long-term vision, particularly in improving efficiency and innovation capabilities.
Graziella Neuvéglise, Wipro’s Regional Head for Benelux, Nordics and Southern Europe, stated that the company will leverage its technology expertise to support FrieslandCampina’s strategic objectives of enhancing profitability and sustainable growth.
FrieslandCampina, a dairy company with over 150 years of history, selected Wipro for its ability to deliver business outcomes aligned with the company’s strategic ambitions. The partnership marks a significant win for Wipro, which currently employs over 230,000 people across 65 countries.
