The engagement, inaugurated by Tourism Malaysia’s Director General Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, showcased Malaysia’s MICE offerings and potential for corporate events in 2025-26. The partnership capitalises on Malaysia’s recent visa exemptions for Indian travellers and direct flight connectivity from major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.

Thomas Cook India’s strategic focus on Malaysia follows its memorandum of understanding with Malaysia Aviation Group last year. The company aims to leverage Malaysia’s infrastructure, cultural experiences, and value propositions to attract Indian corporate travelers.

According to Rajeev Kale, President & Country Head of Holidays, MICE, Visa at Thomas Cook India, Malaysia’s appeal lies in its combination of world-class hospitality, value offerings, and accessibility. The destination’s diverse offerings, from urban experiences in Kuala Lumpur to beach retreats in Langkawi, position it as a compelling choice for Indian corporate events.
