Reliance Industries and Larsen & Toubro emerged as the top drags on the indices, contributing significantly to the day’s losses. FMCG stocks remained under pressure amid concerns over demand, while steel stocks pared gains after the Steel Ministry’s comments regarding safeguard duties.
