NSE/BSE, Top Gainers & Top Losers Today 6 Feb 2025: Adani Ports, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel
Share prices of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd., Infosys Ltd., Axis Bank Ltd., HCL Technologies Ltd., and Tech Mahindra Ltd. emerged as the top gainers on Thursday.
Among the laggards were shares of Bharti Airtel Ltd., Titan Company Ltd., NTPC Ltd., State Bank of India Ltd., and ITC Ltd.
The BSE Sensex declined 213.12 points or 0.27 per cent to close at 78,058.16, while the NSE Nifty fell 92.95 points or 0.39 per cent to end at 23,603.35.
Top gainers
Adani Ports led the advances, rising 1.72 per cent to ₹1,163.95. Infosys shares showed positive momentum, gaining 0.94 per cent to ₹1,915.00.
Axis Bank added 0.71 per cent to close at ₹1,020.55, while HCL Technologies gained 0.60 per cent to finish at ₹1,723.15. Tech Mahindra completed the top five with a 0.58 per cent gain, ending at ₹1,670.35.
Top losers
Bharti Airtel was the biggest loser, dropping 2.47 per cent to ₹1,619.55. Titan Company declined 2.28 per cent to ₹3,410.75.
NTPC fell 2.13 per cent to ₹312.75, while State Bank of India slipped 1.79 per cent to ₹752.35. ITC closed 1.53 per cent lower at ₹441.40.
The market sentiment remained cautious ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy decision, with retail major Trent’s disappointing quarterly numbers adding to the downward pressure. The indices had opened higher tracking strong global cues but failed to hold onto gains as profit booking emerged at higher levels.
