NSE/BSE, Top Gainers & Top Losers Today 29 Jan 2025: Zomato, Tata Motors, Infosys, ITC, ITC Hotels
Share prices of Zomato Ltd., Tata Motors Ltd., Infosys Ltd., UltraTech Cement Ltd., and Tech Mahindra Ltd. emerged as the top gainers on Wednesday.
Among the laggards were shares of ITC Hotels Ltd., Bharti Airtel Ltd., Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., Asian Paints Ltd., and ITC Ltd.
The BSE Sensex extended its rally amid positive market sentiment. The BSE Sensex ended 631.55 points higher at 76,532.96, while the NSE Nifty gained 205.85 points to close at 23,163.10.
Top gainers
Zomato led the advances, surging 6.79 per cent to ₹222.50. Tata Motors shares showed strong momentum, rising 3.29 per cent to ₹752.45.
Infosys gained 2.83 per cent to close at ₹1,880.85, while UltraTech Cement added 2.38 per cent to finish at ₹11,550.00. Tech Mahindra completed the top five with a 2.31 per cent gain, ending at ₹1,683.55.
Top losers
ITC Hotels was the biggest loser, dropping 5.00 per cent to ₹178.60. Bharti Airtel declined 1.19 per cent to ₹1,599.50.
Maruti fell 1.18 per cent to ₹11,979.75, while Asian Paints slipped 0.87 per cent to ₹2,221.65. ITC closed 0.55 per cent lower at ₹432.85.
The day’s gains came as investors awaited the U.S. Federal Reserve’s policy decision and the upcoming Union Budget.
