IndusInd Bank was the biggest laggard, declining 1.39% to ₹771.10

Share prices of Bajaj Finserv Ltd, Tata Steel Ltd, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Tech Mahindra Ltd, and Bajaj Finance Ltd emerged as the top gainers on Wednesday.

Among the laggards were shares of IndusInd Bank Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, ITC Ltd, and UltraTech Cement Ltd.

The BSE Sensex snapped a three-day losing streak, rising 0.51 per cent or 410.19 points to close at 81,596.63. The NSE Nifty 50 gained 0.52 per cent or 129.55 points to end at 24,813.45, buoyed by gains in select metal, pharma, and financial stocks.

Top gainers

Bajaj Finserv led the rally, advancing 2.02 per cent to ₹2,042.65. Tata Steel followed with a 1.86 per cent gain, ending at ₹161.60.

Sun Pharma rose 1.57 per cent to ₹1,734.15, while Tech Mahindra climbed 1.39 per cent to ₹1,597.00. Bajaj Finance rounded out the top five, adding 1.36 per cent to close at ₹9,203.60.

Top losers

IndusInd Bank was the biggest laggard, declining 1.39 per cent to ₹771.10. Kotak Mahindra Bank fell 0.77 per cent to ₹2,072.80.

Power Grid slipped 0.62 per cent to ₹296.15, followed by ITC, which lost 0.44 per cent to ₹432.95. UltraTech Cement ended 0.42 per cent lower at ₹11,645.00.
