NHPC leads charge in power stocks gain
Shares of NHPC Limited closed at ₹86.76 up 2.29 per cent on the BSE today. Meanwhile, the BSE utilities index was trading at5,876.62 up 0.22 per cent.
The BSE Power Index grew 0.37 per cent to 7,659.00.
The stock hit a 52-week high of ₹118.45 on July 7, 2024, and a low of ₹58.35 on December 20, 2023, on the BSE.
It reported 40.2 per cent y-o-y decline in net profit at ₹96.58 crore for the September 2024 quarter, while the net sales grew 4.1 per cent to ₹305.19 crore.
Other power sector stocks such as CG Power, Siemens, Adani Green, ABB, Adani Power, Tata Power, BHEL and PowerGrid also gained momentum, with increases ranging from 0.08 per cent to 2.63 per cent.
