With a market cap of ₹78,600 crore, their company has seen a 128% increase in valuation compared to the previous year, along with a 36% rise in revenue.

Policybazaar overview
Founded in 2008, Policybazaar is an online platform that aims to bring transparency to the insurance market by simplifying policy information. The company has sold over 42 million policies, focusing on reducing mis-selling and policy lapses.
Yashish Dahiya’s background
Yashish Dahiya serves as the CEO and Co-Founder of Policybazaar.
Before starting the company, he worked in consulting at Bain & Company and held a role at Ebookers Plc.
Dahiya’s focus has been on leveraging digital tools to influence consumer decision-making in the insurance sector, particularly in areas such as death, disease, and disability insurance products.
In addition to his professional achievements, Dahiya is an accomplished athlete, ranked among India’s top performing triathletes. He has completed seven Ironman competitions and represented India at the Masters Swimming World Championship in Kazan.
Dahiya holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from IIT Delhi, a post graduate diploma in management from IIM Ahmedabad, and an MBA from INSEAD.
Alok Bansal’s role
Alok Bansal, Co-Founder and Executive Vice Chairman of Policybazaar, oversees corporate finance and other strategic functions at the company.
Prior to joining Policybazaar, Bansal held leadership positions in organisations like Mahindra Group, iGate Global Solutions, and GE.
He was also recognised as one of India’s top 100 CFOs by CFO India Magazine in 2016.
Bansal holds an MBA from IIM Calcutta and a degree in engineering from Kanpur University.
