LTTS partners with BITS Pilani and CRENS for National Security Research 


L&T Technology Services (LTTS) announced today a strategic partnership with Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani and the Center for Research and Excellence in National Security (CRENS) to advance research and innovation in national security technologies.

The shares of L&T Technology Services (LTTS) Limited were trading at ₹4,445.20 down by ₹25.30 or 0.57 per cent on the NSE today at 1.35 pm.

The Memorandum of Understanding, signed at BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus, aims to drive development in cybersecurity, perimeter security, digital forensics, and emerging technologies. The agreement was formalized by LTTS Global Head Ramakrishna JVS and BITS Pilani Hyderabad Director Prof. Soumyo Mukherji.

CRENS, based at BITS Pilani Hyderabad, will serve as the central hub for this collaboration, connecting law enforcement, industry experts, and academic researchers. The initiative brings together defense experts, including former leaders from the armed forces and DRDO.

The partnership will focus on four key areas: joint R&D projects leveraging AI and quantum technologies, skill development programs for cybersecurity professionals, startup incubation support, and policy advisory services for national security agencies.

LTTS brings extensive experience from implementing smart city command centers and cyber threat analytics centers, while BITS Pilani contributes academic expertise. The collaboration will include sharing technical infrastructure and research facilities.

LTTS Executive Director Abhishek Sinha stated the partnership aims to strengthen India’s national security framework while advancing the “Make in India” vision globally.
