Indian whisky Indri wins global awards, reinforces world market position
Indri Single Malt by Piccadilly Agro Industries Ltd. claimed the “Best World Whiskey” title at the 1st Annual Miami Global Spirit Awards 2025, defeating established brands from Scotland, Japan, Ireland, and the United States. The Indian whisky also secured “India Whisky of the Year” at the 16th Annual New York International Spirits Competition 2025.
At the New York competition, Indri earned a Gold Medal with 95 points, while its cask strength expression Indri-Dru received a Silver Medal with 93 points. These victories add to the brand’s collection of over 65 global awards accumulated over the past two years.
Piccadilly Agro Industries, operates from a 168-acre facility in Indri, Haryana. The company launched its flagship single malt whisky brand in 2022 and has since achieved over 100,000 cases in sales volume, marking a first for any Indian single malt.
“Indri’s journey from a bold Indian vision to a globally celebrated single malt has been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Shalini Sharma, Head of Marketing at Piccadilly Agro Industries Limited. The company became the fastest-growing single malt whisky brand in 2024.
Piccadilly Agro Industries operates in distillery and sugar segments, producing malt, extra neutral alcohol, ethanol, and white crystal sugar alongside its premium spirits portfolio.
The shares of Piccadily Agro Industries Limited were trading at ₹605 up by ₹23.80 or 4.09 per cent on the NSE today at 2.15 pm.
