IBLA 2024: Nita Ambani says this century belongs to India and its women – CNBC TV18



Nita Ambani, Chairperson and Founder, Reliance Foundation, who was awarded the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Brand India’ award at CNBC-TV18’s 20th edition of the India Business Leader Awards 2024 believes this century belongs to India and women.

“At NMACC, we’ve hosted over 6000 artists and two million guests, and in less than 2 years, we’ve been named one of the top seven cultural places in the world. This century belongs to India, and more importantly, it belongs to us women,” she said at the award ceremony in Mumbai.

Accepting the award, Ambani said that women will not only drive India’s growth story but will also redefine it through their innovation and leadership.

She dedicated her award to every woman who walks the path of action, devotion, knowledge, motherhood, leadership, compassion and resilience.

Sharing her vision for the country Ambani said, “I dream of a nation that leads the world with boldness, brilliance, creativity, and culture—a nation that doesn’t just follow but sets the benchmarks for excellence across industries and fields.”

She noted that India is where the world’s future is being shaped. As the world’s youngest population and fastest-growing economy, this is India’s defining moment, she said. “We believe that ordinary people can dream extraordinary dreams and work tirelessly to make them come true.”

She called for rededication to building an India that pursues excellence, embraces innovation, and carries its rich cultural heritage into a future of infinite possibilities. “Together, let us create a Bharat that leads the world not only economically but also with its heart, its heritage, and its hope,” she added.

“We are a land of timeless values and enduring wisdom—a nation where the future is being shaped. This is a defining moment in India’s journey—our time has arrived. Next year, we will proudly submit our bid to host the 2036 Summer Olympics in Bharat,” Nita Ambani underlined.

Nita Ambani, the first Indian woman to be elected to the International Olympic Committee, also called India a land of timeless values and enduring wisdom—a nation where the future is being shaped. “This is a defining moment in India’s journey—our time has arrived.
