Greaves Cotton logs 13% revenue growth in Q3, showcases fuel-agnostic mobility solutions 


The shares of Greaves Cotton Limited were trading at ₹243.75 down by ₹4 or 1.61 per cent on the NSE today at 11.25 am.

Greaves Cotton Limited reported a robust financial performance for the third quarter of fiscal year 2025, with consolidated revenue rising 13 per cent year-on-year to ₹751 crore. The company’s standalone revenue reached ₹502 crore, driven by strong growth in its Engineering and Retail segments, which both expanded by 14 per cent and 13 per cent, respectively.

During the Auto Expo 2025, the company highlighted its strategic pivot towards sustainable mobility, showcasing a range of fuel-agnostic engines and electric vehicle technologies. The presentation of hydrogen-powered engines and innovative electric two- and three-wheeler concepts under the Ampere brand was particularly noteworthy.

The company’s diversification strategy appears to pay dividends, with subsidiary Excel contributing ₹69 crore to the quarterly revenue and Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML) adding ₹184 crore. The press release also revealed that GEML is preparing for an initial public offering, having filed a draft red herring prospectus with SEBI on December 23, 2024.

Nagesh Basavanhalli, Non-Executive Vice Chairman, emphasized the company’s commitment to driving sustainable economic transition through innovative, customer-focused solutions. As Greaves Cotton moves into 2025, it remains focused on long-term value creation and navigating market uncertainties in India’s evolving mobility landscape.
