“…we wish to inform you that the board of directors of CRISIL Limited, has approved an investment in the equity capital of Online PSB Loans Limited of an amount of Rs 33.25 crore, to acquire a 4.08% stake in it, on post-money, fully diluted basis,” CRISIL said in a regulatory filing
OPL, which was incorporated in 2015, is based in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. It specialises in connecting MSMEs with financial institutions, offering digital lending solutions, including PSB loans in 59 minutes and various other credit facilities.

For the fiscal year 2023-24, OPL reported a revenue of ₹44.87 crore, reflecting a 37% year-on-year (YoY) growth. The company’s net worth stood at ₹51.49 crore, and it recorded a profit after tax of ₹0.17 crore.
CRISIL’s investment aligns with its strategy to participate in the growing digital credit infrastructure sector, particularly targeting opportunities in the MSME and agriculture sectors. The acquisition is expected to be completed within 45 days, pending customary conditions and documentation.
Shares of CRISIL Ltd ended at ₹5,497.80, up by ₹41.35, or 0.76%, on the BSE.
