IRCTC shares gain 3% as Q4 profit jumps 26%
Shares of IRCTC soared 3 per cent in early trade following a 26 per cent increase in consolidated net profit for the quarter ended March 2025, at ₹358.23 crore, compared with ₹284.18 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenue from operations grew 10 per cent to ₹1,269 crore in the quarter under review, as against ₹1,152 crore in the March 2024 quarter.
Net profit for FY25 surged 18 per cent to ₹1,315 crore, compared with ₹1,111 crore in FY24.
According to the balance sheet, IRCTC’s catering revenue stood at ₹529.39 crore in March 2025 quarter, compared with ₹530.82 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Internet ticketing revenue rose to ₹372.47 crore in the quarter under review, compared with ₹342.41 crore in the year-ago quarter. The tourism segment also grew sharply to ₹274.42 crore in Q4 FY25, from ₹198.61 crore in Q4 FY24.
The board also recommended a final dividend of ₹1 per equity share.
The stock traded flat at ₹777.20 on the NSE at 10:43 am, after opening higher at ₹800.
