Top gainers & losers Intraday 3rd March 2025: IT, auto stocks show resilience amid market volatility
Shares of Bharat Electronics, UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries, Eicher Motors, and Wipro led the gainers of Nifty 50 pack, while Coal India, Reliance Industries, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finserv, and Bajaj Auto traded among major laggards on Monday’s intraday trading session.
Benchmark indices remained volatile on the back of global and domestic cues, while analysts expect a shallow rally.
Sensex traded flat at 73,218.35 after dipping below ₹73,000 level, and Nifty 50 traded at 22,149.55 as at 12.50 pm. On the sectoral front, IT, metal and auto indices showed resilience, while media, oil & gas, and bank indices dragged.
Top gainers & losers today
Among the top gainers, BEL led with a gain of 3.63 per cent to ₹255.2. UltraTech Cement rebounded 3.11 per cent to trade at ₹10,4439. Grasim Industries increased 3 per cent to ₹2,375.9. Auto stock Eicher Motors experienced a 2.93 per cent gain to ₹4,913.6 with 19 per cent increase in February 2025 sales, and IT stock Wipro rose 2.68 per cent to ₹285.1.
On the losing side was Coal India, which faced a downturn of 3.02 per cent to ₹358.2.
Reliance Industries followed with a 2.81 per cent loss to ₹1,166.4 after hitting a 52-week low of ₹1,156.
Bank stock IndusInd dragged 1.85 per cent to ₹971.75.
Bajaj Finserv and Bajaj Auto fell 1.80 per cent and 1.77 per cent to ₹1,838.65 and ₹7,762.7, respectively.
Of all the 2,909 stocks traded, only 644 advanced and 2,192 declined on the National Stock Exchange. Nearly 937 stocks hit 52-week low, including Hatsun, Wendt (India), Clean Science, and Reliance Industries.
Among the Sensex pack, Coffee Day Enterprises and Authum Investment shares rallied 19 per cent and 11 per cent, respectively. Welspun Corp, Angel One, Suven Pharma, Jubilant Ingrevia, and Venus Pipes depreciated 7 per cent.
