The company will collaborate with Miahona Company, Marafiq, and N.V. Besix S.A. in the project, which is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 to improve sewage treatment services and the quality of life for residents.
WABAG will act as the Technology Partner and Leader in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) consortium, responsible for designing and building the ISTP, while Mutlaq Al-Ghowairi Contracting Company (MGC) will handle the transmission pipeline and reservoir construction.
Commenting on the order, Sivakumar V, Regional Head – Sales and Marketing, said: “We are extremely happy to secure this 200 MLD Independent Sewage Treatment Plant order from our existing client. This state-of-the-art technology order is a testament to our technological superiority and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions worldwide.”
This new order follows WABAG’s earlier Engineering and Procurement (EP) order for a 20 MLD Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant at Ras Tanura Refinery Complex, also in Saudi Arabia. WABAG’s established track record in the region was key to securing this repeat order.
The Al Haer ISTP project is a significant milestone for WABAG in strengthening its position in the Middle East, where it has been operating for over four decades.
