Market regulator SEBI on Tuesday “returned” letters written by Florida-based serial entrepreneur Digvijay ‘Danny’ Gaekwad seeking permission to launch a “competing offer” to the open offer made by Burman Group to acquire a controlling stake in Religare Enterprises Ltd (REL). In a filing, REL shared SEBI’s response to Gaekwad’s intent to acquire 55 per cent of REL at ₹275 per share. Burmans’ open offer to acquire an additional 26 per cent stake from the open market commenced on January 27 at ₹235 a share.

The Competition Commission of India has approved Adani Group’s arm Renew Exim DMCC’s proposal to acquire a majority stake in ITD Cementation India for about ₹5,757 crore. ITD Cementation India Ltd is an engineering and construction company undertaking heavy civil, infrastructure and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business and operating in India and overseas. “The proposed combination involves the acquisition by Renew Exim DMCC (acquirer) of approximately 46.64 per cent equivalent to 8,01,13,180 shares of the total issued and voting equity share capital of the ITD Cementation India Ltd (target),” the Competition Commission of India (CCI) said in a release.

MobiKwik, a digital wallet player, on Tuesday announced that it has launched a full version of India’s Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) e-rupee in partnership with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and YES Bank. Payments platform CRED has launched a beta version of its e-rupee wallet, developed in collaboration with the RBI and YES Bank.

HDFC Securities on Monday announced a strategic partnership with KFin Technologies Ltd to boost accessibility and adoption of the National Pension System (NPS) among its subscribers. The collaboration aims to leverage KFin Technologies’ advanced central recordkeeping agency (CRA) platform to provide an enhanced user experience for HDFC Securities’ 3.5 lakh subscribers and over 2,700 corporate clients, the company said in a statement. CRAs play a vital role in the NPS ecosystem by managing subscriber records, ensuring transparency, and facilitating seamless account operations.

ITC Hotels, demerged from ITC, will make its share market debut on NSE, BSE today. Analysts expect the stock will list between ₹113 to ₹170 a share price.

Autoline Industries has announced a landmark purchase order from Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) for their flagship models, Scorpio and XUV 3XO. The order includes four critical components, two for each model, and is projected to generate annual revenue of approximately ₹30 crore.

OneSource Specialty Pharma has received an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) with a Voluntary Action Indicated (VAI) status from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for its BLD facility in Bengaluru. The inspection of the facility was conducted from November 14-22, 2024.

The board of Lloyds Enterprises has approved further investment of ₹14.2 crore to acquire a 12.25 per cent equity stake in Lloyds Infrastructure and Construction. Post-acquisition, Lloyds Enterprises’ stake in Lloyds Infrastructure will increase to 24.5 per cent.

HG Green Energy, subsidiary of HG Infra Engineering, has transferred 26 per cent of its partial stake from eight subsidiaries to Stockwell Solar Services. After the stake transfer, these eight entities have ceased to be wholly-owned subsidiaries of the company; however, they continue to be subsidiaries of the company.

Grasim Industries has informed the exchanges that the State Tax Officer, Tamil Nadu, conducted an inspection at the marketing office and the depot of the company’s cellulosic fashion yarn business in Salem on January 22. Subsequently, on January 25, the GST officer passed an order and seized depot records, alleging discrepancies between records available on the GST portal and records furnished by the company. The order is not expected to have any material impact on the company’s financials, operations, or other activities.
