Arvind Ltd post highest PAT in last 10 quarters; clocks 13% growth in Q3

Riding on growth in garmenting and fabric divisions, Ahmedabad-based Arvind Ltd, a leading textile and apparel company, reported a 13 per cent growth in profit after tax (PAT) for the third quarter of financial year 2024-25. This is the highest PAT for the company in the last 10 quarters.

While the profits grew to ₹103 crore for the quarter ending December 31, 2024, the company which retails brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Arrow and Calvin Klein, saw revenues rise by 11 percent to ₹2,089 crore for the same period.

“While the company recovered fully from challenges faced in quarter one and two and made significant progress on its growth journey, it however faced muted growth at the advanced materials division (AMD), while other business-like garmenting registered a 21 per cent volume growth. Volume gains were reported across all segments, including fabric, garmenting, and AMD, supported by stable raw material costs and a favourable product mix,” the company stated in a release.

Woven fabric

Woven fabric, which is running at 100-plus utilisation, achieved a volume of 35 million metres, a growth of 7 per cent on a year-on-year basis. This is the highest volume in the past three years, the company added.

Despite a weak season for Denim products, Denim fabric volume registered a growth of 19 per cent on a y-o-y basis, while the garmenting division achieved a full garment volume of 9.3 million pieces which is a growth of 21 per cent on a y-o-y basis. Arvind said that its capex programmes for FY25 were in full steam and is expected to touch ₹400-₹450 crore.
