Birlasoft achieves top CMMI certification, joins elite global tech group
Birlasoft Limited, part of the C.K. Birla Group, announced today its achievement of CMMI V3.0 Level 5 certification, the highest level in the Capability Maturity Model Integration framework. The certification places Birlasoft among 40 organisations in India and 600 worldwide to reach this milestone.
The shares of Birlasoft Limited were trading at ₹525.40 down by ₹25.85 or 4.49 per cent on the NSE today at 3:19 pm and hit its 52-week low today at ₹519.35.
The company’s attainment of CMMI V3.0, which was released in April 2024, demonstrates its implementation of well-defined processes and innovative practices. The latest version includes new focus areas such as People Management, Data Management, and Virtual Delivery.
Selvakumaran Mannappan, Birlasoft’s COO, emphasised that this certification validates the company’s commitment to service excellence and innovation in supporting clients’ digital transformation goals.
Birlasoft, with over 12,500 professionals, operates under Chairman Amita Birla’s leadership and specialises in Cloud, AI, and Digital technologies. The company is part of the USD 3 billion C.K. Birla Group, which manages 52 manufacturing facilities globally and employs more than 35,000 people across various sectors, including technology, automotive, healthcare, and building materials.
