9 Free Shares For 1: Sky Gold shares now in 5% circuit after stock trades ex-bonus – CNBC TV18



Shares of Sky Gold Ltd. are trading locked in a 5% upper circuit on Monday, December 16, after the stock traded ex-bonus starting today’s trading session.

The stock had earlier, on October 26, announced that it would issue nine bonus shares for every share that shareholders held as of the record date.

This means that in case you had shares of Sky Gold in your portfolio on Friday, you would be eligible to receive nine bonus shares for every share held.

Sky Gold shares currently carry a face value of ₹10 per share.

This is the second instance since 2022 that the company has issued bonus shares to its shareholders. The company had issued one free share for every share held by shareholders back then.

Sky Gold shares currently have a market capitalisation of close to ₹7,000 crore.

It must be noted that the stock is currently under Stage 4 of the Additional Surveillance Measures (ASM) framework.

A stock in ASM stage 4 requires each trade to be settled individually and not netted off against other trades, requires full upfront margin and the price band is limited to 5% on either side.

Shares of Sky Gold are now in a 5% circuit at ₹465.3.
